Cairns to Brisbane Overnight Train

While exploring different ways to travel in Australia I found an overnight train from Cairns to Brisbane with a Railbed - a convertible seat to lay flat bed. All meals were included and it was the same cost as a flight so I thought why not!?!? Turns out it was a lot of fun, loads of scenery and the food was great. The girls kept themselves occupied with games and their phones and I was able to read and watch a few TV shows. While I wouldn't likely do it again i think it was a very unique experience and worth the time and money. If nothing else it gives you a small perspective on how large Australia is!
