A little confession - other than what cities I was staying in (and most accommodation settled) I did very little planning or research about Australia. I figured I would work on it over our Christmas break but I was so happy to have a break from planning things I decided I could just wing it...Melbourne was pretty easy as we were there to enjoy the Australian Open and the city had many options for things to learn and enjoy. We then headed off to Sydney (by train - 13 hour travel day!) and were able to enjoy Australia Day events and touring around the city. Then we flew to Tasmania...to camp! I rented a smaller motorhome and we have spent the last couple of days enjoying the Eastern coast of Tasmania which is lovely. Camping is also fun for the most part. Evi did get a savage burn at a beautiful beach called Wineglass Bay so we aren't rushing off to amy more beaches for another day or two. Camping almost feels exactly like it does at home as we are not trying to cram a lot of things into our schedule, just enjoying nature. We have two more days in Tasmania then back to Sydney for one night and then we will be heading off to the Great Barrier Reef for some amazing water adventures!
