How I got stung by a blue bottle jellyfish

To start, yes I got stung by a "jellyfish" it is mistaken with a jellyfish hence the name. It was actually a Portuguese man o' war. You might be asking did it hurt? Yes but I didn’t know it was a jellyfish I thought it was a shell that hit my face. How did it happen? Well it all started I was in the water and we saw two jellyfish in the water then we saw another one. So we got out of the water and left right??? Nope we just moved a few feet away the continued hitting the big waves. Also I have a idea that worked, to calm the waves. You lean back and then you jump. Back to the story. So I was jumping and getting hit by waves ( So fun) then what we think happens was one of the jellyfishs tentacles detached from its body and then it hit me in the face during a big wave. Did somebody have to pee on it???? No ( thankfully) we didn't know it was a jellyfish until our boat captain who had been stung by one said that it was a jellyfish! When did it stop hurting? It stopped hurting after about 45 minutes I'd say. Today it doesn't hurt! ( this story was yesterday) Thanks for reading Evi! 🪼
