Final Countdown

So we have made it to the airport hotel ready to fly out tomorrow morning. The last few days have been a whirlwind of emotions with tears ready to fall with little warning. We packed and then took out half the stuff we packed and then repacked. We loved the dogs up to make up for leaving them behind. We met with family and friends and said our goodbyes. But it feels a bit like living someone else's life as we have been talking about this trip and planning it for years. 7 years. And still we aren't quite ready to leave it all behind. And true to our travel luck when we got to the hotel Anna said she was cold and she got into bed and fell asleep. So much for the nice shower she desperately needed. I'm sure she will be fine tomorrow and at least she has a quiet day of travel - and a direct flight!
